Keep Showing Up

keep showing up

After last weekend’s 10K and wrapping up the Track Shack Series, I gave myself a little space to reset—but not too much. Because the work doesn’t stop just because the race is over.

This week wasn’t about chasing finish lines—it was about mindset. Sunday’s shakeout run was slow, easy, and exactly what I needed. Five miles to loosen the legs and clear the mind. Coffee after. Quiet win.

Midweek, I got back in the gym and posted a photo post-workout. Not because it was anything dramatic—just because it was done. That’s the message I keep coming back to lately: just keep showing up. The big moments are built on the boring ones. The PRs come from the reps no one sees.

It’s been a week full of people overcoming resistance. One friend dragged themselves to club training after almost skipping it. Another posted about slowly rebuilding their running after time off. And more than a few laced up in freezing temps wondering if spring would ever come. I see it all. And I respect it deeply.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like dragging yourself out the door when you don’t feel like it. Sometimes it’s slowing down to get it done right. Sometimes it’s just not quitting, even when the finish line is nowhere in sight.

The lesson this week? A fresh start doesn’t come from changing your surroundings—it comes from changing your mindset. You don’t need new gear, better weather, or a perfectly crafted plan. You just need the willingness to keep moving forward.

If you’ve had a long week, if the motivation feels low, here’s your reminder: you don’t have to crush every workout. But you do have to show up. The rest takes care of itself.

Keep Moving Forward!
